Can I take the Non - Restricted and Restricted Courses both on 1 day?
Previously students who completed the Non-Restricted course could consider challenging the Restricted course and test for it. This could all be done on the the same day.
Updated rules no longer allow challenging the exam. The benefits are that if everyone takes the full course there is no question that all license holders received the full training package. This helps reduce the possibility of making mistakes or people pleading they did not know or understand the handling procedures.
If we are allowed to train and test on one day for both courses there is an increased chance of rushing and incomplete instruction of the course materials.
There are mandatory course requirements for the minimum 8 hours of instruction time. There is a reduction if people take the Restricted course withing 6 days following the completion of the Non-Restricted course. If the course is taken after 6 days the full time requirement must be met.
